28 Senators Call for ACORN Investigation

Apart from Obama’s “screw New Europe” maneuver yesterday, brilliantly handled by Rocketman, below, today’s news has to include mention of a leaked letter to Harry Reid by 28 other Sentors, calling for an investigation into ACORN not led by ACORN or the “sham Angelides Commission.”

Recently, Obama has redoubled his efforts to bury any links with ACORN. Unfortunately for him, this tactic has become so characteristic that people have resorted to making copies of any salient material in order to make that scrubbing more difficult. Today, too, Van Jones comments on his “quitting”.

Even so, more is emerging about the typical shell game practice of multi-organizational faces on deeply interpenetrating agendas, as in ACORN and SEIU. Verum Serum noted that Obama and neighborhood acquaintance Bill Ayers worked at the same address for an extended period of time a year ago, and this supplements our knowledge of the linkages. Yesterday, Ben Johnson of Horowitz’s Freedom Foundation did a terrific segment on the B-Cast, outlining some of the radical roots of Obama and Valerie Jarrett.

Today, the Washington Times devotes an article to the subject of how Obama has linked health care to immigration reform. He says that illegals will be forbidden from participating in any federal plan, but his intention, which should have been made obvious by the White House’s absorption of the Census Bureau, is simply to legalize them. As Johnson notes, that’s meant to grow the number of Democrat voters, and is linked as well to the push to give DC representation, which will essentially give Democrats an additional two seats in the Senate “in perpetuity.” Technically, such a change to the Constitution ought to require an Amendment; you can bet the Democrats are plotting to circumvent that mechanism.

But changing the rules—again—is nothing new for them:

Speaking of pimp/ho-friendly, the state House of Representatives just voted to change the law so Gov. Deval Patrick can appoint an interim senator ahead of the January special election to replace the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy. This measure was pushed by Kennedy himself in the months before his death to ensure a friendly senator would be in place to vote on health-care reform.* It seeks to overturn the law that Kennedy advocated in 2004, taking appointment power away from then-Gov. Mitt Romney, to prevent the Republican from appointing a replacement to then-presidential candidate John Kerry.

* Ironically, it’s starting to look like a friendly vote for health care in the Senate won’t be necessary. Much as it turned out to be unnecessary to deprive the Republican of appointment power in 2004.

It shouldn’t simply be illegal to be poor in America, it should be illegal to help the poor!

What a racket, smear-jobbing those who assist the poor.

Trickle down on ‘em! Imprison their youth! They without financial resources, hang them long in the sun!

    Shackle them in animus.

  2. Dan Collins says:

Smear-jobbing? Give it a break. They’re a criminal enterprise. They still have to pay their workers in some parts of the country, for work done in the election. Their claims to non-partisan get out the vote work are ridiculous. They imposed sweat-shop conditions on many of their workers. They’ve broken the law everywhere.

    Fuck ‘em.

edge, you’ve gone off the deep end this time…

What’s the matter, watching one of your masters minions taking the fall frighten you? Or are they getting a bit too close to connecting the dots for comfort?

Whatever good intentions they may have had initially, and I doubt there were many outside of the aggregation of political power, are no longer there. They are a criminal organization, under investigation in many states already, that engages in voter fraud, abetts missappropriation of government funds, acts as on demand flash-mobs and electronic brownshirts for the won!, and under the aegis of the IRS acrually helps people comitt tax fraud-among the most hypocritical of their activities…

Add to that their involvement mau-mauing banks to make irresponsible loans, that ultimately end up ruining the lives of many who sign on to them, and you have a taxpayer funded organiation that works against the taxpayers economic, moral, and legal interest!

And don’t try any of your guilt-inducing rants about how all WINGNUTZ H8TE POOR FOLKS or whatever clever variation you try to invoke. Prosecuting a corrupt organization that games the system in many different ways does not make anyone against poor people in any rational universe; only in one desperate to protect one of the mechanism that elect and support liberal politicians like Obama…

Nor does it make them hypocritical or uncharitable. You’re rich, why don’t you open a shelter? House the homeless, feed the poor! Or are you another one of those people that are happy to do all that with other people’s money; but can’t be bothered to do it individually?

You know, like Barack Obama or Joe Biden! It’s a fact that WINGERZ!1!1!!eleventy give far more to charity than liberals. Liberals want to feel gracious and superior, but use others resources to do it…

Give it up edge, just like the breathless accusations of racism, that dog isn’t going to hunt much longer…

  4. Edgell McHickfistter says:

Then, uh, why not let law enforcement enforce the laws?

Why the the weird boogey-man politics?

  5. Bob Reed says:

Why keep giving them taxpayer money?

And the way Eric Holder is panning out at AG, you know, dropping all charges against the Black Panthers that intimidates voters in Philly, no one can guarantee that he’s feel this matter rose to the level of the RICO investigation it deserves…

ACORN is indefensible edge, quit tryin’; you’re only making yourself look the fool…

As long as you act the part, I think the accusations stick real nice on your forehead, podnuh.

Conservatives give more to charity than liberals? “What planet do you spend most of your time on?” Hahaha!

Tax fraud, you say? I don’t use ACORN for advise on reducing my taxes, I use a white guy with a CPA. Haha!

Being a de facto liberal is good times, who knew back when I voted for Bush just how much fun this would be.

    Angry curmudgeonry impresses me not.

Edge – while there are stories of Liberals coming to their senses and evolving into Conservatives – I have never heard of anyone devolving from Conservatism to Liberalism. You are nothing if not unique. In a monkfish sort of way.

  7. Bob Reed says:

That wasn’t anger; it was righteous indignation…

And I won’t let you, or anyone for that matter, hijack my intent; nothing I have said, done, or written has been racist. I don’t go that way…

There’s a difference between taking legal deductions and comitting fraud, I’m pretty sure that you’re CPA doesn’t violate laws or he’d be in jail; especially if he were doin’ so with all your cheese!

And as far as your past voting record; whatever…All I know is that you always seem to be apologizing for, excusing, or otherwise defending Obama. And as I think I’ve made clear, I’m a fair man who’ll cheer and support him when he does good, and criticize him when he doesn’t. Just like with Boooooosh! and all the past Presidents of my lifetime…

    • Enoch_Root says:

Racist! You prove you are a racist sir by simply refusing to accept the charge! McButtButter knows a racist when he sees one. He has outed you sir! Next on his list? – himself!

  8. SDN says:

Multiple studies show that conservatives give more. Google is your friend.

“edge, you’ve gone off the deep end this time…”

Way too late to say that, Bob, I’ve been telling him to get professional help for months now.
