Some of the fallout from the resignation includes the left’s discovery that maybe Trutherism isn’t really as vile as Birtherism, and the claim that Obama has crumpled in the face of right-wing terrorism. I’m not going to link the HuffPo lament by the Sierra Club douchebag over what’s becoming of their beautiful revolution, but the right is also noting the tepid way in which Obama’s dealt with the Trutherism issue, in an attempt to avoid outright schism. On the whole, I’m inclined to agree with Insty, who says that the likelihood is that the administration just didn’t see what might be troubling about Van’s background. I’d rather link American Thinker than any of them, so here you go.

In related news, No. 10 rounds on The One and Hillary, saying that they were informed every step of the way about the pending release of the Lockerbie bomber. To be labelled disingenuous by Gordon Brown really is a feat.
