Well, my dealing with my AIG-like HMO got me roughly 1 million in pancreatitis surgery last year. Out of pocket, I paid…. $10,000.

At least there is recourse when dealing with an AIG-esque corporation; an appeal to the insurance commission or the courts for redress. And, if you don’t like AIG’s coverage plans, there is always another insurer out there; there are approximately 1300 in this country. But that would not be the case if a single-payer national system came to pass…
Were we a country of angry nutballs when the giant paper-mache heads on parade used to demonstrate? Or when the congressional Democrats declared in 2006 that none of Booooosh!’s appointments to the federeal bench would even come up for a vote? Were you worried about angry nutballs when it was the Democrats doing it?
Palin gave voice to what many in this country would constitute as real reform of the health care delivery system. One that would preserve consumer choice, the incentive for aggressive medical research, and avoid the nationalization of 15% of our economy. I like those goals more than any T&A of Palins…
