Van Gone

Last night, about midnight Eastern, came the news that Van Jones had resigned.

As Andy Levy observed on Twitter, that means that a bunch of people are waking up to their Sunday news wondering who the heck this guy was and what the controversy was about, because of the MSM blackout on information about the forming storm clouds. So, if you get your information from the usual suspects, more fool you.

But if you do go there, you’ll find that Van claims that he was the victim of a vicious smear campaign. The kind of vicious smear campaign that you fall victim to when people dig up your radical warmerism, your anti-Americanism, your race baiting, your Trutherism, and publish it online. ColorofChange.org, which he helped to found and which promoted the boycott of Glenn Beck, claims that Van Jones had nothing to do with it, but given that Mr. Jones’ name miraculously appeared on a 9-11 Truther petition, that he was an organizer for a vigil for all the victims of US imperialism on 9-12-2001, that he was on the board of directors of the radical anti-American War Times magazine, that he was featured on a hate-filled album of crap pseudo-music, that he claimed that only white suburban boys shoot up their schools, that he wanted to use “Green Jobs” as a means of undertaking an ambitious transformation of American society, that green jobs don’t seem to be emerging, that he claimed that pollutants were being sent to the neighborhoods of the poor by the affluent, and that he repeatedly lied about his views, stating that he never felt that 9-11 was an inside job, he had to go.

Van Jones was hand picked by Valerie Jarrett. Ms. Jarrett’s father was an ardent commie who probably knew Obama’s father figure, sex rebel Frank Marshall Davis. Ms. Jarrett was instrumental in getting Michelle Obama the U of Chicago hospitals PR position that paid her so well for diverting the financially undesirable to neighborhood clinics. Michelle’s dad was a Chicago ward boss. That Jones joins Rezko, Ayers and Wright under the bus is no accident. That Obama puts the screws on Honduras and sucks up to Cuba and Venezuela are no accidents. That the FBI is responsible for doing background checks, and Obama wants to give them sovereignty over the CIA is no accident. That Teddy Kennedy tried to cut a separate deal with the odious Yuri Andropov and then backed Obama is not really an accident.

Van Jones will probably land a teaching position at the University of Chicago. The MSM won’t report on the background, so he’ll always be able to appeal to he said/she said. If he were viciously smeared, of course, he’d be given every opportunity to demonstrate that on the record, but he can’t, so he won’t. And he’ll always find an audience for his assertion that Whitey done him wrong. Don’t cry for Van; he’s doing enough crying for himself.
