The POTUS is a tough job, regardless of how well you do it. I also think Bush's "sacrifice" of giving up golf for the troops was a hallow gesture - it seemed stupid to me. The only issue I have is when their down time activities causes an impact (or extra significant cost) to the public. Wasn't it Clinton that held a plane on the LA Airport tarmac for a haircut? Screwed up lots of peoples' flights. And finally, in a humorous vein: what has he got in his pockets? Does the POTUS need to carry his wallet and cell phone on the course? :-) Seems like there are others around that could do that - or at least stick them in his golf bag.
