To the victors go the spoils, I guess, but this sets a terrible precedent. It’s like Hillary Clinton’s Travelgate turned into a general policy:
In other words, if a “careered-into†civil servant worked for President Bush in the executive branch at any time during his second term in the White House, that employee may not be approved. The same applies if that civil servant worked for a Republican Member of Congress at any point during the past five years, in effect freezing these employees out of other positions, denying them promotions, and forcing them out of their jobs.
Dig the post-partisanship. Embrace the change. It’s like using your tax money for something crazy . . . say, funding a group that fabricates Democrat voter registrations and throws out legitimate registrations of Republicans.
You know, I can’t wait to bring this up when we discuss term limits.

I saw this yesterday from Insta-Glenn:

I was wondering if you’d heard of it…
You know what this kind of action was known as in Obama’s beloved formr Soviet Union don’t you; a purge. It was a popular tool of Stalin’s and, you know, so was Frank Marshall Davis as it turns out…
Maybe the won! was taught this technique years ago, as a way to rid the system of “non-believers”…
Don’t overlook the bone this throws professional bureaucrats either. Now they don’t have to compete with outsiders who haven’t “paid their dues” as part of the GS system…
This is naive, instant gratification stuff; once again the Obamateur isn’t considering the long term effects of this, and what it will mean for his political appointees in a few years-it’s just expedient. I guess he figures by then he’ll have been able to pull a Vhavez and will be presentdent for life…
I wonder if that putz Schumer is going to wail and gnash teeth over this move like he did when Bush asked for the resignations of the 9, out of 100, US attorneys?
Putsch, putsch, out the Bush!
[...] Hey, let’s dig all of those Bushies out of the civil [...]
