Did You Know My Best Friend Is Gay?
We've been friends since Sunnypost Nursery School. He probably doesn't care for my politics. Honestly, I don't know, because it doesn't matter. (Hi, Bob!)
But another of my friends is an unreconstructed Celtic Pagan Hippie Goddess. (It's true: I consort with all sorts of undesirables.) Her name is Celia Farran, and she'll be performing all over the country this month. So, she'll be in Des Moines and Cedar Rapids this weekend, then out here on the East Coast later on. Reminds me of one of my ex-girlfriends! I never let ideologies define the boundries of social interaction. It’s too bad that many on the other side seem to.
I’ve actually had exes that said we had no long term prospects based on the differences in our political beliefs. Funny that, since my lovely wife is a lifelong Democrat!
